Psychogeography

05/18/2009

first defined in 1955 by “Guy Debord’ as “the study of the precise laws and specific effects of the geographical environment, consciously organized or not, on the emotions and behavior of individuals.” which makes no sence to me but was still intrigued so as i learnt more came to the conclusion that it is a study of was to detour the regular pedestrian of his familiar route of a city and ecourages them to see it from a different perspect by almost any means.

This is closely related to the early movement in Paris,flâneur, by Charles Baudelaire.

So in my mind i decided to take a random walk in the name of Psychogeography, justifying so because by simply reading the theory encouraged me to look at my own surroundings from a different perspective, here are some of my highlights.
